Smackdown Overview: Sparknote
SparkNotes is a very beneficial website to utilize if you want a breakdown of a concept, subject, book, or etc. The website is easy to navigate as all the options are provided in a drop down menu. They offer summaries, explanation, videos and more. This website is applicable for students as well as teachers who want to give their students the "easy" explanation. This would be beneficial when writing a paper or going over a topic introduced in class that you may not be familiar with. The explanations are pretty concise and get to the point. Having this website as a tool when in a time crunch, or just having to teach yourself is extremely helpful.
This website in particular aided me throughout high school when it came to book reviews and I may not have had the strongest notes on some chapters. I believe that college students could definitely make use of this website during their college career. I must also say that this website has developed a ton since I last used it, and is very versatile as far as the content that you can get. I hope everyone enjoyed this presentation and can potentially make use of this website linked below.

Hello Kimberly,
ReplyDeleteI remember using SparkNotes in high school to help me to do exactly what you mentioned in your presentation: break down the concepts in more difficult books and understand them better for papers. It's really interesting to see how the site has grown in the past 5-10 years since I was in middle/high school.
Kimberly,
ReplyDeleteI have used SparkNotes in high school. I think it is a very great website to help breakdown a certain book. It is very helpful when someone has a difficulty reading or understanding the book.
Hi Kimberley. I am very familiar with SparkNotes. SparkNotes has been a major help for me, especially in high school when it came to writing papers on certain books or topics. I love how it is simple and straightforward and provides important information without being overwhelming. As you mentioned, I also just briefly checked out the SparkNotes website and saw that it indeed did develop a lot since I used it back in high school.
